iOS 15.6.1 security fixes

According to Apple, iOS 15.6.1 has fixed two major vulnerabilities that were exploited in the wild and have impacted every iPhone and iPad model running on iOS 15. The first vulnerability CVE-2022-32894 let an application execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges whereas the second vulnerability CVE-2022-32893 was in WebKit, which powers Safari and all third-party browsers on iOS.

“Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited,” said the official statement on its support page. The iOS 15.6.1 upgrade “provides important security updates and is recommended for all users,” Apple stated.
