“What happened over the holidays wasn’t a one-time event caused by weather, and it wasn’t just that one airline literally got the bulk of the media coverage,” United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said told investors on the company’s Jan. 18 earnings call. “The weather was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
