More info later this year

The fourth instalment in BioWare’s RPG series Dragon Age now has an official name: Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Revealed in a BioWare blog post, that’s the only detail the developer is willing to share at the moment, but information and further details will be shared later this year. The game won’t be launching in 2022 either, but we are “growing closer to that next adventure”.

The blog post then expands on who Solas, the Dread Wolf actually is. “Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity — a player of dark and dangerous games.”

BioWare suggests you’ll be able to jump straight into Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and begin playing without any knowledge of the three previous games since the Dread Wolf will “properly introduce himself when the time is right”. Past reports have claimed Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will release in 2023.
