First AMD Radeon RX 7000 card presented

During the official Ryzen 7000 announcement today, AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su also presented the upcoming Radeon 7000 graphics card.

The design is kept in black color scheme, similar to the Radeon RX 6950XT series. The teaser picture does not show the power connector section, nor it confirms which model exactly is shown, but it is clear this is a high-end model considering the thickness.

During the live demo, AMD CEO confirmed that a Radeon 7000 is currently running at AMD labs, and its performance looks ‘absolutely wonderful’. She also reaffirms previous claims that upcoming architecture will provide 50% performance per watt uplift over RDNA2.

AMD is also showcasing its new Radeon card alongside the new Ryzen flagship CPU (7950X) in a first public demo. AMD chose Lies of P for their demo. The company has demonstrated GPU at 4K resolution with Ultra settings running on preproduction RDNA3 GPU.

AMD Radeon RX 7000 series feature RDNA3 chiplet design and as long as rumors are concerned, the flagship model is said to feature Navi 31 GPU with 12288 Stream Processors and up to 24 GB of GDDR6 memory. The company did not reveal the launch date of the new GPU series, but Lisa Su reassured the new architecture will be ready later this year.
